He is an advertisement photographer, he cooperates with agencies, publishes on national magazines. His preferred subjects are persons: models in the studio or in fascinating locations, but also men, children, portrayed during his reportage all over the world. Taken at a small distance, 16mm, because Alberto thinks that what Robert Capa said was true: "a picture is not good if you are not near enough" He says: "You must know how to enter persons and their stories, with humanity. In five seconds they must understand you are not an invader, but one of them. The same for the model portrayed at a small distance with 50 mm lens. You need empathy, the model must understand he/she can trust you. Only then his/her personality will come out".
Alberto Buzzanca works with digital, a technology in which he trusted from the beginning and that he constantly updates.
On the set, where the subject must call to life a film of 9-10 pictures, it is easy to understand the photographer is inspired. But this is not his job, it is his life.

Roberto Brumat.

ALBERTO BUZZANCA is the master of TOP HOLIDAY COURSES from the 7th to the 14th of June in APULIA and from 19th to 26th in SARDINIA.

ALBERTO BUZZANCA
Master of Images

Alberto Buzzanca is an icon of Italian photography. Creator of a new concept of glamour photography, he signs the way, together with other colleagues, of a modern and more dynamic trend, compared to elder ones, of considering and performing photos both for the sector of fashion and beauty and advertisement.
He inherited from his father, a visionary painter and sharp cartoonist, the photographic equipment but maybe more than this. At the age of 23, in 92, the artistic commitment of Alberto Buzzanca was born. Two old reflex, lenses, and the desire to try it. A walk along the river, the first pictures. Then a lot of manuals, books, magazines and curiosity to learn how the magic of masters' master works were born.
Buzzanca understood he was not made for unanimated landscapes and that his photos must live, excite him and those who look at them. So the moment of portraits, models arrived. Then workshops, and try it out. Until the greatest moment: leaving the job for the passion. A courageous action, a mix of awareness and humility. He opened a office.
"I work with few lights, often just one - he says - a soft one, that gives the right contours, as if it would be the natural light of a window ".
