MMimmo Irrera, from Messina, began to
take pictures in 1970. After trying
different genres, he chose portrait
as mean of expression.

says-it cannot be explained with words,
it is always new. " (from "Mimmo
Irrera, Fotografo").
"I take pictures for pleasure.
I take pictures of persons because I
like staying with persons. People are
beautiful to be so different. I like
playing with them, especially when it
is their first photo experience, because
portrait is a moment of magic. Taking
pictures is interpreting that is inside
us, the interpretation of a reality
which is a synthesis. It has power,
character that can be interpreted by
imagination by the public, who live
image according to their personal experience
". (from "Messina Viva").
